Withdrawals and Refunds
A student may be withdrawn from a course at any time prior to the course expiration date. A refund of the tuition will be made only if a student withdraws and applies for the refund within seven days from the date of course enrollment. No refunds will be made past the seven-day period.
Grades and Time Limits
- The maximum completion time for each course is one-hundred and fifty days. If the student's counselor requires an earlier completion date, that fact must be indicated on the enrollment application.
- Coursework grading scales will be posted in each course syllabus.
- The proctored final examination must be completed at least one week before the high school grade for the course can be issued and up to one month before the college credit is posted on the transcript.
- Upon completion of a course, the student will be notified of his or her grade. College NOW! will send a copy of the grade report to the school official indicated on the Approval Form.
Final Examination
- The final examination can be scheduled only when all of the assigned coursework has been successfully completed.
- On the final examination, administered by an approved proctor, the student must earn a score of at least 70 percent. A student must pass the final examination to pass the course. Under special circumstances, and with approval of the course instructor, a final examination may be retaken.
- The final examination score will count as one-fourth of the total course grade. Coursework will count as three-fourths of the total course grade.
Expectations for Final Examination Administration
- Approved proctors are high school principals, assistant principals, guidance counselors, or teachers. NO ONE RELATED TO YOU MAY ACT AS YOUR TEST EXAMINER, NOR MAY YOUR EMPLOYER.
- Failure to have test administered by an approved proctor will result in no credit for the course.
- Examinations must be taken within 30 days from the date the examination is approved. Any charges arising from administering an examination must be paid by the student.
- Please allow time for processing when requesting an examination.
