COMPASS/ACT Testing

If you have taken the ACT and met the requirements for the College NOW! course you have chosen, have your counselor verify your scores on the Counselor Approval Form.

General information on the ACT assessment can be obtained at its web site.

If you have not taken the ACT (or met the requirements), you must take the COMPASS assessment and earn specific scores to meet the requirements for College NOW! courses. The COMPASS assessment consists of tests in reading, writing, and mathematics.

Students should make an appointment for the COMPASS assessment at Dawson Orman Education Center by calling (502) 485-7803 or toll-free 1-866-485-7122 (outside of Louisville area).

COMPASS Preparation Tutorials are available upon request.
